i'm a baker and pastry cook for work, currently working on writing my first book and getting back into the worlds of web design and pixel art. i'm also going back to school for a degree in zoology starting spring 2026!

i used to make websites like this when i was a kid and it's really nostalgic and encouraging to see neocities still growing!!

i love horror movies, kawaii things (particularly from the early 2000s, and also anything hangyodon), and almost any kind of bug!

animal crossing is my favorite game series with hundreds of hours logged in both new leaf and new horizons (as well as happy home designer and happy home paradise). my player character is a dimension-hopping, time-traveling tanuki named cake. i haven't played in a while, but maybe i'll get back into it and rebuild my island soon! my favorite villager of all time is lopez . i love his purple eyeshadow :)

i've been spending a lot of time on things i loved as a kid lately. maybe it's a coping mechanism. either way, i'm having fun!! ☆

fun? facts about me:

i have terrible rbf. my eyebrows are naturally pretty arched and my mouth is very downturned, so i really walk around looking like ( ¬︿¬ ) if i don't actively change that lol.

the only thing that turns my stomach is the smell of moldy food.

every giant spider is my mom.

i'm mildly allergic to cranberries and didn't know until like two years ago. i just assumed cranberry juice was particularly tart to the point it made your mouth and throat feel funny. this was apparently not a common experience to my friends. woops.

i've gone by a lot of names over the years. i won't list them all, but before this i was charlie, and before that i was henry.

i've seen the movie independence day probably over 400 times (though i haven't watched it in maybe 20 years now). when i was 7-8 i would come home from school every day and watch that movie. got to the point i could mouth the dialogue along with the characters. maybe i should revisit it and see if i remember anything.

i am a hardcore crinkle cut fry fan. crinkle cut forever.

i tend to dress all in black, frequently enough that strangers around town will sometimes recognize/recall me that way.

i've forgotten how to swim twice. i also have thalassophobia. i think i was just not meant to be in the water...is this a past lives thing???

i was raised in a very small christian (seventh day adventist, specifically) school and was the only person in my grade two different years. my family were not seventh day adventist... it's a long story. i was baptized at age 12 but am no longer a part of the church.

i practice folk magic with an appalachian bent, but not as routinely as i would like. i feel a bond to the goddess hekate, but haven't established a deity-centric practice that feels right for me.
