i'm currently working on writing my first novel. it honestly still feels weird to call it that! it's not finished yet so can i really call it a novel?

i've read a lot of books of middling quality lately and it has me frustrated but also kind of inspired? it makes me want to try and write something better. i like what i have so far, but i'm not expecting to get it published or have a bunch of eyes on it or anything. i'll just be happy to finish it :)

this story is enemies-to-lovers with an initially one-sided limerence -- it involves a love potion gone wrong.

aster is a young witch who's just trying to have a relaxing life, but when they accidentally add their own hair to a love potion instead of a customer's, they end up with bram, the richest man in town, absolutely obsessed with them. now they're desperately trying to figure out an antidote so they can go back to their peace and quiet.

They're aided by the use of their crone alter ego, their best friend knock, whose spirit now resides in a snow leopard cub as result of a necromancy mishap, and the code-written grimoire of their strange old ancestor.

while they try to craft their antidote, a murderous plot is also brewing...
